Musuem Hires Education, Membership Coordinators

 GREAT FALLS, MT – Joanie Kaluza Schmidt was recently hired as the Education Coordinator at the C.M. Russell Museum. A Montana native, Schmidt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and has taught at schools in Montana and Texas. She is a volunteer with various youth organizations, including Cub Scouts, Missoula Children’s Theater, and Youth Ministry. She is also a member of the West Elementary PTA.

 In addition, Patricia Boyle was named as the Museum’s Membership Coordinator. Boyle has worked at the Museum since 2003 as the Education Coordinator. Previously, she worked for 10 years at the Montana Historical Society in Helena. A graduate of the College of Great Falls, Boyle is a member of Ad Club and of Charlie’s Friends of the C.M. Russell Museum.

Opened in 1953, the C.M. Russell Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, research, and interpret the art and life of Charles M. Russell. In addition, the Museum also focuses on the art and lives of Russell’s contemporaries, as well as art that depicts the culture, life, and country of Russell’s West.
